The city of Santander, where the International Festival is held, is situated in a unique natural setting surrounded by beautiful landscape. Santander is committed to culture and in the summer it becomes one of the most important cultural centres in Spain.

Our programme takes place in El Palacio de Festivales. The building itself was designed by Saenz de Oiza and is situated in front of the Bay of Santander, considered one the most beautiful bays in the world.

The programme in Santander itself combines with a large number of concerts that we offer at “Heritage Sites” throughout Cantabria, such as Santillana del Mar, Comillas, San Vicente de la Barquera or the Trasmiera Ecopark. These are just some of the privileged venues that the International Festival of Santander uses to develop its activities.
